Work Place Wednesday: Armed Forces Charity

Our Workplace Wednesday talks are here to give you the lowdown on what jobs and careers are really like, from the people who do them!

In this episode of our Workplace Wednesday series Jordan interviews Dan who works for SSAFA, the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association charity.

Dan tells us about how volunteering with various organisations helped to find the career that is right for him in the charity sector, and why his role is much more than just a job – as he also informs the volunteers who provide daily support for the Armed Forces Veterans.

Workplace Wednesday is all about giving you an introduction to the variety of industries and careers out there, by focusing on the day-to-day duties of people in these industries, and finding out how they got there!

Suitable for students in school years 7 to 13.
