Neuroscience Subject Taster

This neuroscience subject taster will give you an insight into how the brain processes visual information and how this can help us better understand headache disorders and their treatment.
We will look at the many topics that come under the umbrella of neuroscience as well as providing an insight into how the visual system works and its involvement in a headache disorder called migraine. By understanding visual processing in the brain, we can start to see how processing differs in people with migraine and what treatment options we can use to help. In these sessions, we will look at how the brain sometimes makes mistakes in visual processing, how a doctor would diagnose migraine based on symptoms and treatment options for the condition. We will also look at where you can study neuroscience, the entry requirements and what to expect in terms of modules and practical experiments.
