U Can UCAS!

An online interactive programme that will support you with all things UCAS.

Thank you for your interest in the "U Can UCAS!" programme. This five-part interactive programme will support you with all things UCAS – from navigating the basics to writing your personal statement.

Our team of experienced staff will help you answer questions such as “How do I write a personal statement when I don’t have any work experience due to COVID?” and “How do I chose a university without attending any open days?”. Our "U can UCAS!" sessions will help you to stay on track with your university application.

Places on the programme are limited so we ask that anybody interested fill in a short application. If you are successful you will join a small group of likeminded students to focus on a different theme each week.We will be offering sessions on Tuesdays or Thursdays and all sessions will be held online via Zoom. When you apply you will need to commit to all five sessions on the day you choose.

Session 1: UCAS during Covid-19

Session 2: Navigating UCAS and searching for courses

Session 3: The art of crafting a personal statement

Session 4: How to find bursaries and scholarships

Session 5: Discuss university life with our university Ambassadors

We are now accepting applications until 25 October 2020. Your application will be judged on your response to the final question. Answers to all other questions are used for planning so please answer them honestly. We will contact you to tell you if your application has been successful by Thursday 29 October 2020.

Please note: these sessions will follow an application process, and not everyone who applies will be accepted. Sessions are suitable for students in school year 13 or in final year of college only, and eligibility criteria applies. All students who take part will need the permission of a parent, carer or guardian.
